It’s Monday and it’s time for another Bible Meme. Incidentally, July will be the last month for these memes, and they’ll return sometime in the future. The articles, currently featured on Tuesdays, will return to Mondays starting August 5th.

The caption states, The Devil want you to pay attention to your feelings, Jesus wants you to pay attention to His truth.
In today’s society, feelings have become more dominant over facts. It’s simply a matter of no one liking the idea of being wrong. I know I don’t. However, being wrong is a way of learning to improve yourself for the next time. If we learn from our mistakes rather than get triggered by them, we’ll live a more healthy and positive life.
It then comes as no surprise that feelings are taking over religion. And that’s exactly what Satan wants to happen. He’d preferred you to challenge everything in the bible and accept your feelings over what the truth of the gospel really says.
Don’t get me wrong, you should challenge things in scripture but, when you realize what the truth really is, you change yourself to accommodate God’s word. That’s why Luke wrote, These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts 17:11)
The Bereans searched the scriptures when Paul or anyone else was preaching to them. They didn’t simply accept his word because he was an apostle, they checked God’s word to make sure what he was teaching was accurate. When they found out he was right, they adjusted their way of thinking to base it on God’s word.
The apostle Paul wrote, And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2)
Rather than change the gospel to fit your needs, let the gospel change you to fit God’s needs.
