Another two-for-one meme special. Today we are focusing on Jesus of the Bible vs. Jesus of the World. As a reminder, Monday’s articles have moved to Tuesdays.

In this first meme, the statement reads: Be sure the Jesus you’re chasing is not your own ego. The idea behind this is that people create who Jesus is in their own mind. We’re not just talking about physical appearance but also spiritual appearance; what he stands for in the religious world.
They don’t want to read about the Jesus in the bible because, frankly, He’s the one who won’t let us do anything fun. And He insults people (read Matthew 23)
The bible verse underneath comes from Matthew 24:24, For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (KJV)
So many people will be deceived by their own idea of Jesus that they will miss out on meeting the real Christ. To deceive even the elect may seem like an impossibility but, when one lets their guard down, they can be caught in a web of lies as well.
For attributes of the Fake Messiah, please see the next meme…

Here’s the list that a lot of people, in the religious world, believe the true Jesus to be like:
He will allow everyone into Heaven.
He came to bring peace, not division.
He doesn’t require obedience
He doesn’t require holiness
He doesn’t require repentance
He only preaches on love
He never says anything offensive
He never tells anyone their wicked
He calls everyone His children
He will not send anyone to Hell
He wants you to do your own will
His commandments are suggestions
Below this list is this final statement, “If you’re following this False Jesus, then I thought I’d let you know, his real name is Satan!”
Naturally, most will disagree that they are following Satan because they would know who he is. The apostle Paul contradicts that with this statement, For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
Conclusion
Before you decide as who Christ is and what He stands for, turn to the scriptures and see for yourself the true Son of God and follow Him! There are only two ways (Mt. 7:13-14), and both look like they’re going to Heaven. Make sure you’re on the correct path.
