Remembered for What?

It’s Monday and time for another Bible meme…

On this Memorial Day, we reflect on those who served in our military and gave their lives for the freedom we enjoy in the United States of America. As the saying goes, “All gave some, some gave all”.

When a person dies, a funeral is usually a time to reflect on that individual’s life. What will they be remembered for? Loyal employee, Faithful Husband, Caring Father, Humanitarian, etc.

However, if the words, “Faithful Christian” aren’t among those accolades, the rest of the list is pointless (Mt. 16:26). For in Christ is where you find salvation and, in Christ, is what leads you to an eternal rest in Heaven.

Jesus said, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

The apostle Paul writes, For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Colossians 2:9-12)

How will you be remembered?
